Rosin is the most pure extraction method known to man. Rosin is produced very simply via heat and pressure. Flower or trichomes are placed in a micron filter bag, the end of the bag folded over. The bag is then place in a press. Two heated plate of metal are then pushed together using hydraulic pressure. Rosin is then slowly the forced out of the filter bag, as the heated plates come together.
The Excalibur rosin press has been designed to be a durable tool extraction tool for the industry and hobbits a like. extraction is all about the cleaning. The heated aluminium plates surface measures 180mm x 100mm. Each contain a 600 watt heating element and a 160mm thermocouple (heat sensor). The heat is regulated by two PID controllers with solid state relays to turn the power on and off to maintain a constant temperature.

The control box is made from 10mm aluminium. The box contains a fused power connection, the two PID controllers and the two relays. The box has a clear lid, so you can inspect the components without having to open the box. The box has been designed so any side can be removed, if maintenance if required. The cabling to the plates is neatly delivered via a articulated cable track. This cable track can be opened for access. All wires are 1.5mm tinned cable which are highly rated.
